Jim Janik helped lead Douglas Dynamics into the modern manufacturing age. Jim partnered with Aurora in 2004 to carve Douglas Dynamics out of AK Steel and invest in a strategic acquisition, in sales and marketing resources, and in the implementation of lean manufacturing which dramatically reduced lead times for Douglas’ products during peak, in-season demand. In addition to his team at Aurora, Jim partnered with independent directors Jack Peiffer and Mike Wickham.
